How it works

At Intuitive Therapy Solutions, therapy begins with understanding how your child experiences their body, sensory input, and everyday demands. Feeding challenges are rarely just about food — they are most often rooted in nervous system overwhelm, sensory sensitivity, and the body's need for safety before exploration.

All services are delivered virtually to families across Canada. No referral or diagnosis is required to begin.

Our approach

We use a nervous-system-informed, connection-centered, parent-coaching model grounded in The Regulated Table™ Framework. Every service begins with safety — building the regulation and body trust that feeding and participation grow from naturally.

What this means in practice We do not use compliance-based or pressure-driven feeding approaches. We do not use reward systems or "just try one bite" strategies. We focus on understanding why eating is hard — and building the conditions where it can become easier.

Is this the right fit?

We're a strong fit for families who:

  • Want to build safety and regulation first
  • Have children with sensory or feeding challenges (specializing ages 0–7)
  • Are open to understanding their child's nervous system
  • Want long-term change, not quick fixes
  • Are comfortable with virtual, caregiver-active sessions

We're not the right fit if you're seeking:

  • Behaviour therapy or compliance-based feeding
  • Child-only sessions without caregiver involvement
  • In-person visits
  • Quick fixes or rapid food expansion timelines
  • Acute medical or swallowing (dysphagia) intervention

What families often notice over time

Progress is not linear — and it rarely looks like a child suddenly eating everything. What families most often describe is a shift in the feeling of mealtimes before a shift in the food itself.

Reduced mealtime tension · Increased curiosity and comfort around food · A child who seems more settled in their body · A parent who feels less lost and more confident · Fewer power struggles · More ease in daily routines

If this resonates, the first step is a complimentary 15-minute fit consult. No referral needed. No commitment required.
