Primary Focus

Feeding & Mealtime Participation

For families navigating Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD), sensory-based food refusal, or significant mealtime stress. We work from safety first — building the nervous system foundation that food acceptance grows from, not toward.

  • Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD)
  • Sensory-based food refusal and avoidance
  • Extreme mealtime stress or distress
  • Limited food variety and oral sensory sensitivity
  • Anxiety and power struggles at the table
  • ARFID and restrictive eating patterns

Sensory Processing & Modulation

For children with heightened sensitivity to sound, touch, smell, taste, or movement — or those who seek intense sensory input. We build body awareness and help caregivers understand and support their child's unique sensory profile in everyday life.

  • Sensory sensitivity and overwhelm
  • Sensory-seeking behavior
  • Difficulty with transitions and unexpected demands
  • Highly sensitive children (HSC)

Parent and child nervous system regulation support Nervous System & Regulation

Regulation & Nervous System Support

For children with big emotional responses, frequent dysregulation, rigidity, or shutdown patterns. We treat regulation as a skill — not a behaviour problem — and place co-regulation with caregivers at the center. Highly sensitive parents (HSPs) navigating their own nervous system alongside their child are warmly welcome here.

  • Emotional intensity and frequent dysregulation
  • Rigidity, avoidance, or shutdown patterns
  • Highly sensitive children (HSC) and highly sensitive parents (HSP)
  • Anxiety, interoception, and body-based experience

Our clinical foundation

Intuitive Therapy Solutions

The Regulated Table™ Framework

Every service at Intuitive Therapy Solutions is built on this five-level model. Safety is always the foundation. Food acceptance is the natural outcome — not the starting point.

Food Acceptance Tasting · Eating · Expanded variety
Skill Building Food chaining · Flexibility · Cooking participation · Trying small changes
Exploration Looking · Smelling · Touching · Playing with food · Food curiosity
Regulation Body calm enough to learn · Emotional and sensory balance · Available for engagement
Safety Predictable meals · Low pressure · Relational trust · Choice respected

Eating is a state-dependent skill. Children move between stages depending on nervous system state.

What working with us looks like.

Your pathway depends on where you're starting. Both lead to the same goal: more ease, more connection, and more confidence at the table — wherever you are in Canada.
