This policy explains how Intuitive Therapy Solutions Ltd. ("I", "me", "ITS") collects, uses, and protects personal information through this website, intuitivetherapysolutions.com. I take privacy seriously, both as a business and as a regulated health professional.
1. WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS
This policy covers information collected through this website: email sign-ups, contact and referral forms, booking links, and basic website analytics.
Clinical records (assessments, session notes, and other health information created when I provide occupational therapy services) are handled separately, under my obligations as a registered occupational therapist and the privacy laws that apply to health information in the client's province. I explain how clinical information is handled when services begin.
2. INFORMATION I COLLECT
- Email sign-ups (for example, the guide waitlist and the free mealtime guide): your email address, optionally your first name, and the topics you choose. Please do not include details about your child in these forms.
- Referral and contact forms: the information you choose to send, which may include contact details and information about a child's feeding concerns. Only send what is needed, and only with the family's consent.
- Emails you send me.
- Bookings: appointments and fit consults are booked through Jane App, which has its own privacy policy.
- Website analytics: general, non-identifying information such as pages visited, device type, and approximate location, collected through Google Site Kit (which may include Google Analytics) and cookies.
3. HOW I USE IT
- To respond to your inquiry or referral.
- To send the updates you asked for, such as news about the guide, resources, or education opportunities.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
I do not sell or rent personal information.
4. EMAIL UPDATES AND CONSENT
I only send email updates to people who have signed up. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You can also email me to be removed.
5. SERVICE PROVIDERS
I use trusted third-party services to run this website and my practice. Some store information outside Canada (for example, in the United States), where it may be subject to the laws of that country:
- Mailchimp (email list and updates)
- Formspree (delivers website form submissions to my email)
- Jane App (booking and practice management)
- Google (website analytics)
- Hostinger (website hosting)
These providers may only use your information to provide their service to me.
6. HOW LONG I KEEP INFORMATION
- Email list information: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it.
- Inquiries and referrals: only as long as needed to respond, or as required by my professional record-keeping obligations if they become part of a client file.
7. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you, or withdraw your consent to email updates, by contacting me. If you have a concern I can't resolve, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial privacy commissioner.
8. SECURITY
I use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive health information through general contact forms or email unless needed.
9. CHILDREN
This website is intended for parents, caregivers, and professionals. I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
10. CHANGES
I may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last updated.
